Gosh…it has sure been a while. Sorry. I’m still alive though, just in case you were wondering. Been a little bit busy (& stressed out) what with school stuff, Christmas stuff, and wedding stuff…as well as having been sick & just not feeling too good for a little while.
The other day 126 kids were absent from school with the flu…no wonder I’ve not felt right for a while.
So, what have I been up to? About 5’5” I guess! (Ha! My attempt at humor! Laugh already!!)
Well, on December 8th I was out with the girls…Beth & Debbie (& Rachel was supposed to be there too but got a flat tire in Ford Heights of all places!) We went out for Mexican food, saw Beth’s new house, and then went to see the Movie “Walk the Line”. It was a 10 pm show…so you guessed it…I caught the credits on both ends, but missed a good portion of the show. That is ok – Larry wants to see it anyway. I’m sure we’ll see it soon!
December 9th Larry & I went bowling…and get this…HE beat me! Yes, he won at bowling! Good Job LD! We were at my nephew Clayton’s golden Birthday party. It was fun! Then we (LD & I) went into the Loop for dinner & to see the Christmas sights. It was a very lovely evening! I’m still enjoying the happy thoughts it brings me!
Last week was fairly uneventful – until the weekend. Then my principal let our school out a whole 30 minutes early, which allowed me to finish packing my bags and head down to Monticello for the Stephens family Christmas party. It was lovely – crazy busy, but lovely to celebrate Christmas with Larry’s family! It is always interesting to see what gifts others got too…but I missed a lot of that…too much going on. Oops. Guess I better pay better attention next year!
Sunday was the best however. LD had to play Santa for Aunt Jeanene’s bridge club brunch. He was fabulous! I’ve got to get the pictures that she took. She got one of me kissing Santa…and honestly, if you didn’t know it was LD in the costume…I don’t think you’d figure it out too quickly. I laughed at him a lot, but he was so funny! (& funny looking) I think he really wanted me to be Mrs. Claus or an Elf or something, but I was having too much fun laughing at him to participate!
This week is flying, but that is good. One more day of school for the week! Whoo Hoo!
