Miss me???

Yeah, it has been a while since I blogged last.  It was a busy week or so…sorry!  (Plus, I think that Larry & I are the only one’s who read this…)

Anyway – over the weekend we had the 2nd bridal shower.  This one was in Champaign at Aunt Jeanene’s & Uncle Rick’s.  It was very nice & a lot of fun.  (Well, at least I had fun…I think others did too)  We were “showered” around the clock.  All the guests were assigned a time of the day and had to figure out what we might be doing at that time of the day and get a gift accordingly.  

Well, there seemed to be another theme besides that one (now this might be our own doing in what we’ve registered for, etc., but it is interesting nonetheless)  The more subversive theme was that we apparently drink alcohol a lot, eat a lot, and are addicted to coffee!  Looking in the mirror, I know that at least one of those statements is true.  Considering how much my head hurt yesterday morning when I only had Decaf coffee, I’m guessing another one is true too.  Not sure what to do with the rest of that information though! ;)

It was great to have friends & family gathered around us and so excited for us…I really appreciate the love & good wishes that people keep expressing to both Larry & I in all this engagement stuff.  I think Larry is fabulous, but it is also cool to see how many other people think that too (and who’ve known him for far longer than I have!)

We’ve gotten a lot of nice stuff…we’re gonna have to entertain a lot…which I really look forward to doing.  I love to cook for people & have them kick back, relax and enjoy!  So I hope to see many of the people who were at the shower at our home in the near future!

For now though it is back to reality…school, grading papers, planning lessons, and next week…the dreaded parent-teacher conferences.  (
