On the job hunt...

Ok, so I'm now officially on the job hunt. I've procastinated long enough. I've dragged my feet for a while, I admit it. Being the lady of leisure has been kind of fun. However, this may shock some people, but eventually it gets old. I miss having a real purpose in life. Oh, waiting on LD hand and foot is a purpose, I suppose, but he did survive without me doing that for 36 years...so it is not like he can't take care of himself & honestly, "taking care" of him is NOT a full time job...so I'm looking to get a job and not go stir crazy. (How's that for a ramble?)

There seem to be only a few leads for teaching. Maybe I'm being too fussy, but I am a Social Studies teacher for any grades 6 - 12. That is what I'm certified to do. I've done other things, but I know what I'm good at. I'm NOT good with little kids. I'm NOT interested in teaching all the subjects to them. I'm NOT interested in doing some of the things that my mom & other elementary school-teacher friends have had to do for their students (example: my mom has a few stories about kids pooping in their pants in first & second grades and she had to clean them up! YUCK!)

So, for those of you readers who pray, please keep me in your prayers as I look for and pursue finding teaching jobs. There are only a few, but I hope that one of them will be the right fit. If teaching jobs don't come through, then I know God will provide something else, but what that something will be...well, that is a good question. I'm open to a lot of things...we'll see!

  1. You get desperate, let me know. The bank's a good place to work. And you wouldn't have to clean up poo (at least not literally).
