The Hodgepodge of Life

Hi all! Yes, I know it has been a long while since I last blogged (by saying that I feel like I'm in a confessional). I've been busy - not too busy mind you, but busy nonetheless. Since LD & I got back from our trip our East I've been keeping busy getting things all settled at the old homestead.

If you haven't already seen the condo...you really should! It is looking great! We got home to fresh paint in the living room, dining room, kitchen & hallways. So we've been working on making those parts of the house just the way we want them. I think we've done a good job...it feels very homey!

Next on the agenda is the bathroom. I stripped all the wallpaper off the other day & it needs to be painted, but I think it will be a fairly easy & will look so good when it is finished! I can't wait!

Then we will paint the bedroom & the office. Both can wait a bit...but I'd like to not wait too long.

Ok, some of you will laugh about this: while working these past few days I've also been watching TV. That is not the funny thing...the funny thing is what I've been watching. I purchased the DVD collection of North & South (The civil war era mid-1980's mini-series staring Patrick Swayze & others). I love it. LD thinks I'm insane (I think) but I'm loving watching this almost as much as I remembered it!

Well, I should go make dinner -- tonight we're having pork chops & asparagus.

Oh, by the way...I am heading North tomorrow to spend some time with my family. The kids are on spring break & we're gonna go to Cantigny park near Wheaton, IL on Thursday. Google Cantigny...it is a very cool war museum/park. I think the kids will like it a lot. They can climb on tanks & such!
