Bestest Birthday EVER

I do believe that I just had the best birthday EVER!  Friday night Larry flew up to Lansing to get me for the weekend.  We didn’t get back to Champaign until later, but had a nice evening (& I'm usually so wiped out from the week by Friday night that all I really have energy to do is crash anyway!)

Saturday we got up, took our time getting ready, went out for brunch (we had breakfast food, but it really & truly was Lunch time)…then we headed out to Turkey Run State Park to hike & enjoy the glorious day!  It was such a nice drive out there, the temps were just great, the sun was shining…we couldn't have asked for better!  The park was a bit busy, but we had fun taking pictures, bouncing from rock to rock, climbing ladders & loads of stairs, etc.  You'll have to see LD's blog for pics from the outing!

Then we drove home via Rt 36 – a little scenic (although I did take a little snooze while LD drove).  We got back to Champaign, got cleaned up and headed out for some fun on the town!  We met up with the Mike & Traci and then Kanno & Becca came & we all celebrated me being 31!

Sunday was a bit lazy, but that was good too!  We spent some time with Grandma & Grandpa Stephens…they are too cute & fun; we had a little bite to eat at Pekara and Larry flew me home in the evening.  A good weekend all in all!

Oh, I did get some really great presents too…got to add that in there!  Larry got me a beautiful diamond pendant (to replace one I already had…long story) – I got lots of compliments on it today!  Larry's parents gave me some of the things we'd registered for…so the houseware collection is now growing!  My folks gave me $ to get something I wanted…not sure what I want yet though!

Guess that is it for now…Cole Thomas & Curtis Wayne are over and I'm playing with them a little…got to get my nephew time in with them!   They are too cute!

Plus, this is a three day teaching week for me, so I can slack a little in my work.  Not a lot, it is the end of the 1st quarter, but I can slack a little! (
