CA Dreaming...

Well, not so much dreaming as...living the life! Whoo hoo! LD & I are on the Central Coast of CA & it is beautiful! He had told me it was like this, but I really did have to see it to believe it! I'm having a hard time picturing him living here during HS & College & then moving back to Central IL and being as content as he is there!

Anyway, today was the "tour the old haunts" day. We got up (WAY TOO EARLY, in my opinion...LD couldn't sleep anymore at 6 am...he was too excited...so therefore I couldn't sleep anymore by 6:30 am) and went for a walk around Morro Rock. It is this huge rock along Morro Bay. Very cool. LD described it to me as we were driving there as a big seagull poop encrusted rock. That it is. He was bummed as we saw a sign that said no climbing on the rocks on the jetty there. However, on our walk back to the car (at like 8 am) the Morro Bay "bird lady" was sitting in her car and told us people walk out on the rocks all the time. I'm sure we'll try that someday in the upcoming week.

After a wonderful breakfast back at the B&B - delivered to our room and oh-so-pampery, we got ready and then headed out toward San Luis Obispo. We wandered around there for the rest of the morning and debated about having lunch there, but since we were both still full from breakfast we just headed on to Atascadero, where Larry used to live. I got the full tour there - his old house, the church & school he went to, etc. We also got lunch at an In and Out Burger - sooooo good. Then it was on to Paso Robles - the old home or Horizon West. We saw the sights there and also saw some winerys we may be stopping at later in the week.

After all that we came back to the B&B for the wine & cheese hour here & now we are planning on dinner across the street at a local Mexican place. A pretty full day all in all.
